Another Cold Mountain

Day in CyprusAnother day in Cyprus, another cold mountain to look at. We spent several hours today looking at rocks and mapping outcrops. Wasn’t too exciting but it was an interesting day. Probably the most interesting aspect was that we travelled along a fault most of the time. This allowed us to see the change in rock types as we moved from one location to the next.

I know this may not sound exciting, but to geology students, well it’s not that exciting either. LOL. Anyway, was a long day, took some pictures and did some work. Learning more about basalts and gabbros. Tomorrow we’ll have an exciting day of sedimentary rocks and possibly fossils.
